In case of departure before the booked date, a cancellation fee of 50% for the rest of the booked stay will be charged.

Artemonas is situated at the north of Apollonia. It is not a remote village as is attached to Apollonia. Here you can find the most beautiful houses of Sifnos and a day walkthrough all the village is a must. Is the less "spoiled" place of Sifnos with not access to cars. On the top of the village you will see the wind mills. Artemonas is a popular destination for Easter holidays as the atmosphere here is fantastic. Is also a nice place to stay if you want to be at the centre and having Atremonas as starting point to visit the rest of the Island. Sifnos has magnificent golden sand beaches. One can find clean and attractive beaches at Kamares, Faros and Platis yialos as well as quieter and less known ones such as those at Herronisos, Fikiada and Fasolou.

 | DavidWed 17 Oct, 2018 | We loved our stayThe proprietor and the staff are so friendly and helpful. They really make you feel at home. The bed was quite comfortable and our room was lovely. Each room has a private balcony equipped with a drying rack, which is both pleasant and handy. We felt that the combination of convenience, a full breakfast, and the price was really a great deal (almost a steal!) for us. The area is quiet at night, so we got a very restful night's sleep throughout our whole stay. The only minor inconvenience is the small size of the shower area, but I know that the owner is completely re-doing all the rooms (we saw a couple of the works-in-progress) and the new designs will eliminate this problem entirely. Very nice and generous breakfast with fresh orange juice. Extremely nice welcome and staff at all times Great central location on the island and right at the entrance of Arteminos (with the parking not far). If we come back to Sifnos, it will most probably be there (and we could then discover the new rooms -> the actual rooms are great, but the project we saw seems event better!) We named it our Mama Mia Greek island adventure! And what an adventure we had, we laughed from start to finish, and it all started at Smaragdi Hotel in Sifnos with our little red Fiat convertible! Smaragdi is situated in the beautiful village of Artemonas, the great reviews and the location is why we chose this hotel to start our Sifnos vacation. The hotel is located in the village square directly opposite a beautiful church. Our accommodation was spacious and lovely, we stayed in an upper floor triple room with a verandah overlooking the square. We just loved Smaragdi; the hotel, the people and the village made this such a special place for us. The food in their restaurant is also wonderful, the breakfasts were a highlight, and the best we had on our 2 week Greek islands vacation. Sifnos is a true Greek island getaway and whilst tourism is on the move in Sifnos, it is still an island which provides a true Greek island experience. This is hard to come by in the Cyclades anymore, Santorini a typical example of an island which has been adversely affected by too much tourism. Apart from the accommodation and its beautiful location in Artemonas, it is the people working in this hotel that made our experience so special. The conversations and the jokes we had around the table with the Smaragdi team we will treasure- Antonis the owner, George his assistant and waiter, and who can forget Andonis the chef, and his words of wisdom and his incredible food! They all made us feel so welcome; even once we left Smaragdi to move on to our next hotel in Sifnos, we returned each night to catch up for a late night chat and drink. It is from here we take home our most treasured memories of the Greek islands. Thank you to you all for making our experience so special. We miss you all already, but know we will be back again, Alice has already made me promise we will return again soon!! Love from your three girls in the red Fiat convertible!! The food may be a little more expensive than other restaurants, but you realise why when you taste it - really good. The rooms are a good size and are about to be upgraded again to give bigger bathrooms. It is close to the bus station. Definitely would return and recommend it. | 5 |

Our incredible experience can definitely be attributed to how accommodating & helpful Antonis at Smaragdi was. His recommendations were excellent and his knowledge of the island allowed us to make the most of our days and really made us feel like home! The hotel restaurant is incredible (probably the best we ate during our stay in Greece). Would highly recommend opting for breakfast included as it is truly outstanding! We looked forward to it every morning. Overall, the hotel is very well maintained and located in a lovely quiet little town. The bus terminal is right next door making it very convenient to get around the island. Would highly recommend Smaragdi to anyone travelling to Sifnos and would definitely go back there! You certainly will feel a cool and easy vibe going on there. The host Adonis and his team are great and eager to please you in order to make you feel comfortable and in vacation modus.
